The Pavillion Cafe – Kingston Field Woodbridge
Woodbridge Town Council own this uniquely placed cafe which is currently closed. We are keen to see it open again as soon as possible but want to explore the option of it being run as a ‘Community Cafe’
We are therefore looking for an individual or an organisation who is passionate and committed to the potential benefits a Community Cafe could bring to Woodbridge. To achieve this we are offering a 3- -5 year lease to enable a new project to be established and developed. We are ideally looking for a local Community Interest Company, Voluntary Organisation, Social Enterprise or similar Not For Profit Community Group to take on the lease and develop the premises into a vibrant and valued community hub.
The pavilion cafe tenancy has been vacant since May 2019 and we are keen to see a new tenant installed who would be able to open the cafe up again as soon as possible, however, we are able to offer some flexibility to a new tenant in relation to timescales.
The Town Council is keen to work with a partner organisation who wants to achieve a positive outcome for local people, volunteers, and hard to reach groups and is interested in talking to any individual or organisations who could bring imagination, flair and ‘added value’ to the town in terms of providing a warm, friendly and reasonably priced cafe alongside being an innovative community resource.
If this sounds like a project you or your organisation would be interested in developing with us, please contact Kate Lacey the Town Clerk by July 17th 2019.
You will be able to view the Pavilion Café between 10 am and 2 pm on Monday, 22 July and have an informal discussion with the Town Clerk.
If you are then interested in applying for the lease we would ask you in the first instance, to submit a written proposal, followed by a opportunity to meet with us to discuss your ideas.
